Amherst Recreation offers environmental and science programs to homeschoolers throughout the school year at the Peabody Mill Environmental Center, an environmental and science education center abutting almost 600 acres of Joe English conservation land.
Our prescheduled homeschool programs take place October through June on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month, 1-3pm. Each month has a theme where all classes will be using the same theme just at different levels. All classes (including winter) will have an outdoor component, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Don't forget your water bottle!
We offer classes by age: 3-5, 6-10 & 11-14. The 3-5 yr old class is 1 hour long. The other classes are 2 hours. If you would prefer that your child attend class with a different age group, please call us at 673-1141 or 673-6248 to discuss.
***NEW THIS YEAR - CLASS BUNDLES*** You can now purchase a season of classes at a discounted price of $30 ($15 for 3-5 year olds). Fall - Oct, Nov, Dec. Winter - Jan, Feb, Mar. Spring - Apr, May, June.
