What is OAK?
Who: Grades 2-4
When: Every Wednesday 3:00PM-6:00PM
Where: PMEC at the Joe English Trail Reservation
Hike, run, walk, explore, learn and be one with nature. The Outdoor Adventure Klub (OAK for short) is all about getting outside and connecting with nature while disconnecting from technology. Join us every week for a hike in the forest as we learn a new survival skill including fire making, acorn whistles, lashings, knots, etc. Build wilderness forts and make-shift shelters. Explore streams, brooks, and rivers. Enjoy the outdoors and be prepared to have fun! (*Transportation will be provided from Wilkins Elementary School to PMEC.) Remember to register your child within the “Pick-up-Patrol” system through the Wilkins website.
Feel free to sign up for an individual session or go for the whole 6 weeks by ordering the season pass!
Schedule
3:00PM - Pick-Up and Check-In at Wilkins
3:15PM - Arrive and bag check
3:20PM - Start Hike
3:50PM - Snack break (on trail) (weather permitting)
4:00PM - WOA: Weekly Outdoor Activity
4:30PM - Return Hike
5:15PM - Ga-Ga Ball/Cool down (*Not available in the snow)
5:45PM - Pick-up starts (Homework help in lab room)
6:00PM - Pick-up ends

Late Pick-up
Please be on time and arrive before 6pm. Any student remaining past 6pm will be billed a late fee.
