We are so fortunate to have a growing Ukulele Program! We continue to offer After-School Classes with Robert Allwarden for children grades 2-4, and have added evening classes for anyone ages 8-108!
After-School Ukulele for Grades 2-4
Has your child wanted to learn an instrument, but you aren't sure you are ready to commit to the expense? Has the Ukulele craze caught their interest? Are you ready to see them spend time with something that does not have a glass screen??
Classes are set up with a 5 week session. Students will "begin where they are", either with some knowledge of basics or absolutely none! Robert has a great deal of experience identifying students' abilities and developing their skills to the next level.
Students will work on chords and simple songs to play and sing. No prior knowledge is needed. All instructional materials will be provided, including ukuleles during instruction. If the students want to practice at home, they will need their own ukulele.
Who: 2nd-4th Graders

*Thank you for respecting the 2nd grade cut off- we look forward to having your 1st grader join the program next year!
Ukulele for ALL!
We had so much feedback that kids and parents of all ages wanted in on the Ukulele fun that Robert is responding with this new class option: Ukulele for All!
Participants will learn the basic chords and receive sheet music with simple songs to begin playing. No prior knowledge is necessary, but if you have a beginning knowledge of ukulele, you are welcome to join us! Robert is very practiced in working with individual skills.
We are happy to have anyone from age 8-108 join us. Sign up with a friend or family member. It's a wonderful opportunity for an adult to learn along with a child.
All materials will be provided, including ukuleles. If you have one, bring it along, but if you do not, he has plenty to lend. If you wish to practice at home, you will need your own instrument.
Our instructor is Robert Allwarden, Music Specialist at Wilkins Elementary and local performer.
