Maker STEAM Camp: Game Engineering!!
Do you love to play and create games? This week at camp is all about games! Learn how to code, create Minecraft mods, design video games, produce videos, mod Minecraft, design and build controls for games with Makey Makey, design and build board games with 3D designed and printed playing pieces and of course play games!
A typical camp day includes an Introductory Mini game, Morning Design and Build Session, Lunch, Game Play, Afternoon Design and Build Session and finally a mini game or time to play our games inside and out.
Game engineers will need: closed toe shoes for the workshop, snacks, a lunch, a labeled water bottle, and sunscreen for outdoor breaks.

More About Your Instructor!
Stephanie Erickson is a geologist and educator. She is a self professed geek and loves all things science and technology. She never stops thinking about science, technology, and engineering and how she can incorporate a topic into her lesson plans. After working 10 years in the engineering field, she transitioned into education and brings her real life experiences into the classroom. Her passions for science and technology dominate her life as she turns every home project into a science experiment or engineering design project. Stephanie is a lifelong Girl Scout, robotics coach, avid reader, gardener and dog lover.
