Have you ever wanted to try rock climbing? Have you been climbing for years, but haven’t taken the time for yourself? If you are looking for a new hobby, new friends, or something to do on Tuesday nights, look no further than our Ladies Climbing Night with Amherst Rec. Women (18+) of all rock climbing experience levels are welcome to this 4 week program to learn basic climbing skills and technique. You will love the positive and empowering environment!
Minimum of 4 participants, maximum of 12
Who: Women 18+
When: Tuesday April 16th, 30th May 7th, 14th from 6:30-8 PM
There will be no class on April 23 during April Vacation.
Where: Souhegan High School Mini Gym. Enter through the front doors that face Boston Post Rd
Fee: $55 R, $65 NR
Fee Includes: Harness for the night, belay lessons, instruction from certified and experienced climbers
About your Instructor
Alison Batey is a long term Amherst resident. She works as a special educator and a camp director in the summer. Alison is certified as a Scouts BSA level 2 climbing instructor and loves to work with all age groups!
What to Bring
- Clean sneakers or climbing shoes
- Comfortable active wear, note that the harness will sit snug around your upper thighs and waist
- Water bottle
