The start of Amherst Rec Lacrosse has been postponed until at least April 1st.
Amherst Recreation is excited to be teaming up with Souhegan Valley Lacrosse to offer Lacrosse to both boys and girls in the Souhegan Valley Region. Our goal is to teach athletes the FUNdamentals of Lacrosse in both practices and games. If it's not FUN, why play?
Sandlot Lacrosse is an in-house league for ages 6 and under. Players will compete in small sided games and have one practice a week. Sandlot is a great way to introduce your child to the sport without breaking the bank. This program will start in mid-April and run until the first week in June. It is our hope to have both boys and girls teams in Sandlot Lacrosse. If we do not get enough registrations we will make Sandlot a co-ed program.
Equipment needed:
Girls: Stick, goggles, mouth guard, cleats
Boys: Stick, helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, cup, mouth guard, cleats
Who: Ages 4- Grade 2
When: Monday or Wednesday nights starting in April

Travel Lacrosse – Take it to the next level and play on one of our competitive travel lacrosse teams. We will be playing in the New Hampshire Youth Lacrosse Association League (NHYLA). It is our anticipation to have players play on teams by grade level. Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday nights with most games happening on Sundays. This travel program will follow recreational philosophies where players will get fair playing time and play in a division that will be most competitive for the skill level of the team. Players in the travel program will need to become a member of US Lacrosse by clicking here before registering for this program.
Who: Kids with birth years of 2008-2013.
When: Indoor practices start in March, outdoor practices start when fields are available.
Fee: $170 (includes shooter shirt, does not include uniform fee)

Travel Lacrosse Uniforms: NEW THIS YEAR
Players will choose a number from the number ranges given below. See the birth year of your child and pick your first, second or third choice. Go ahead and purchase your uniform anytime before 2/21. We will send the shirt vendor all player numbers prior to printing. You will only need to purchase a uniform when the old one doesn’t fit. To make sure that you have the right size uniform, you can come to the Recreation Office to try a sample jersey on to see what size is best. All uniforms must be purchased by 2/21/20 to ensure arrival by the beginning of the season.
