Northern Lights Cheer-Amherst

All Star Competitive Cheerleading

All star cheerleading is coming to Amherst! Northern Lights is an all star cheer program based in Keene celebrating its 15th anniversary. Highly trained instructors will join local coaches to bring the NL experience to Amherst.   Northern Lights Amherst cheerleaders will practice once a week from September to April and compete in local competitions. This program is perfect for multi-sport athletes; we encourage kids to compete in other sports as well as cheer (including other town and school cheerleading teams). Participants will be divided into a “prep” and “elite” teams based on age and skill level. These teams do not cheer at football or basketball games but will perform in our showcases (winter & spring) and compete in 3-4 local competitions.  

When: Monday evenings, September- April
Where: Souhegan High School Cafeteria
Who: Kids ages 8-18
Fee: $75R, $95RN per month. (Please note that this fee does not include uniform costs or competition fees)

Meet your Coaches!
Megan Primrose is the co-founder and owner of Northern Lights Athletics, which is entering its 15th year. She has over twenty years of coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, elementary and preschool level. Along with running NLAS Megan regularly speaks at national coach’s conferences through Varsity Athletics. She is a certified cheer judge and choreographs teams from around the country.

Mo Greene is an Amherst resident and teacher at Souhegan High School. She has run the Amherst Rec. Cheer Camp for the past seven years. Coach Mo has over 18 years of cheer coaching experience including elementary, middle and high school teams. Previous coaching experience includes: cheer coordinator and head middle school coach for the Amherst Patriots, Amherst Middle School cheer & dance coach, and Monadnock High School cheer coach.
